CMCA show: The Center fo Maine Contemporary Art
This Saturday was one of many highlights in my career as I packed up the family in the van and headed north to the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in beautiful Rockport, ME. The CMCA is currently exhibiting work by my friend Paul Oberst in a show called Banded Artifacts/Banded Men and Saturday marked the opening of the event. Mixed in with Paul's sculptures and paintings were a number of photographs that Paul and I have been collaborating on for our ongoing "Banded" series. The body of work documents different decades in man's life and loosely pays homage to the clown/trickster gods of the the Southwest. We have three more decades of man that we want to cover before we move on to women. The body of work is getting larger all the time but you can catch a glimpse of it now at the CMCA. The show runs until September 25th, so you still have plenty of time to drop by and see our work. To see more "Banded" images, check out our self published book on Blurb.
